Where Do I Find the Time? Running a Small Business and being a Full Time College Student

Hi All! Welcome to my first blog post on my website. I'll be honest with you, I did not know this feature existed until I found a tik tok about it.

One thing that always shocks people is when I tell them I am pretty much a one man show. Yes, my husband helps me with my finances and some times brainstorming ideas, but other than that, I run KC Creations all on my own.

If you did not already know, I am a Choral Music Education Student at the University I attend. This education path is nothing short of busy. 20 plus credit hours on top of ensembles and extracurriculars, I rarely ever had a free moment to myself. Now I am embarking on my final journey of college, student teaching. This has been an adjustment as I leave home before the sun rises and get home when the sun is setting or it is dark outside.

Getting home so late, I barely have any time to pour into my business, which is what I hope to change soon, but my schedule will only pick up from here. So, I will be honest with you, I am not sure how I do it. I wake up, go to school, drive home, work on school work and repeat 5 days a week. When I get to the weekend, the last thing I want to do is sit down and work on shirts,  but I still do.

I find a joy in crafting and running my small business. It is what keeps my creative mind going. Having another outlet other than music to pour your creativity into is refreshing. So honestly, I make the time. I make the time in the evening to go upstairs and make shirts and take a step from all the teaching things in my mind. I am sure I will find a better way to balance my time between the two because KC Creations is not going anywhere, but for now I hope you will follow along on this crazy journey I am on.
